Tattoo Aftercare
Second Skin
After finishing the tattoo I always use second skin unless requested otherwise. It's best to keep it on for 3 days. Peel it off with clean hands in the shower. Peel in a downward motion, similar to removing a command hook off the wall. If the second skin is irritating your skin, please peel it off sooner.
Cleaning Your Tattoo
After the second skin has been removed, wash your fresh tattoo with clean hands and just water or with an unscented hypoallergenic soap 2-3 times a day. Pat dry with paper towel
Hydration
After a couple of days you can start applying a very thin layer of cream right after you clean the tattoo. Choose a cream that is unscented and for sensitive skin.
Helpful Tips
-Avoid touching your tattoo outside of cleaning it until it's fully healed.
-It will start to get itchy after a couple of days but it's very important you don't scratch it!
-Keep your tattoo out of the sun. Once it's healed you can start applying sunscreen when you're planning to be in the sun.
-Avoid swimming until your tattoo is fully healed. At least 3 weeks-1 month.
